Its a new Pokmon Generation so, of course,
there are new Legendary Pokmon. With this guide, well break down when and
where you can find each Legendary in Sun & Moon, which includes the Tapus and the Ultra Beasts. So lets not waste any time and get right
to it. The first Legendary youll be able to catch
is either Solgaleo or Lunala.
Like many of the recent box cover Legendaries,
this confrontation will happen automatically during the course of the story, and it will
not continue until youve caught it. Fortunately, theyre not too hard to catch. Next is Tapu Koko, who will also be automatically
confronted during the Epilogue of the main quest at the Ruins of Conflict. While were not completely sure, the fact
that we were unable to save before the battle makes us believe that Tapu Koko must be caught
to continue the story as well.
After completing the main quest, you can begin
searching for Legendaries in earnest. Tapu Lele can be found in the Ruins of Life
on Akala Island. Simply touch its idol to make it appear. Tapu Bulu is located in the Ruins of Abundance
at the end of Haina Desert on Ulaula Island.
Because the desert is a bit maze-like, talk
to the old man near the Probopass in the oasis for a clue on how to navigate it thanks to
stacked stones. Youll know youve reached the ruins when
you see idols on either side of the path ahead. Once again, touch the idol inside the Ruins
in order to battle Tapu Bulu. Tapu Fini is found on Poni Island in the Ruins
of Hope.
Touch its idol in order battle it, but be
wary of Aqua Ring which makes catching the Tapu quite tricky. Next, we have Cosmog. In order to catch one, place either Solgaleo
or Lunala in your party and head to the Altar on Poni Island. There you will find a strange portal.
Examine it at night in Sun or during the day
in Moon to cross over into the other world. While you cant catch Pokmon not found
in your version here, it mainly serves as a way to change the time of day, you can travel
to the Lake of the Moone or Sunne depending on your version. Once you reach the center with Solgaleo or
Lunala in your party, it will come out and see its counterpart. Afterwards, Cosmog will appear and youll
receive it automatically.
Cosmog only learns two Moves and is pretty
weak, but if you increase its level to 43, it will evolve into Cosmoem. And if you choose, you can evolve Cosmoem
into either Solgaleo or Lunala depending on the version you have by getting it to level
53. However, Cosmoem will only evolve into Solgaleo
in Sun and Lunala in Moon so it mainly serves as way to get an extra Legendary that you
can trade with friends. Then we have the Ultra Beasts.
Once you exit your house after first finishing
the main quest, youll be approached by an old man who gives you a note. It instructs you to go to the hotel on Akala
Island where youll discover Looker and his Chief, Anabel. They explain the Ultra Beast threat but first
youll have to defeat Anabel in battle. Once you do that, they provide instructions
on where to find each new Ultra Beast that appears.
You will also be given the new Beast Balls
in order to catch them, 10 for each Beast. In all honesty, this section is pretty self
explanatory. Youll be told where to find each Ultra
Beast and will not be able to continue until the number required is caught, ranging from
1 to 4. UB-02 and UB-04 are different Beasts depending
on the version you have, but otherwise you have to catch them all in order to continue
this side story.
Youll know if youre in the right place
if the music changes and the Ultra Beasts are encountered by running through the tall
grass in that area. Eventually youll find the five Beasts in
your version and complete the side quest. But completing the Ultra Beast Quest also
unlocks the final Legendary, Necrozma. Looker talks about seeing a strange Pokmon
on Melemele Island.
Travel to Ten Carat Hill and enter the clearing
on the other side of the cave. Be sure to save and then walk into the tall
grass. Eventually, Necrozma will appear. Capture it and youll have obtained every
Legendary Pokmon in Alola.
Well, except for one. But Zygarde requires a guide of its own, which
well posting soon. Thanks for watching and of course be sure
to subscribe to GameXplain for more on Pokmon and other things gaming..
