You won't need an expensive karaoke machine to have a little singing fun, as long as you have your iPhone with you. After installing a karaoke application on your phone, you'll have the choice to sing along to songs you already own or songs you intend to buy. You can then turn the experience into a karaoke party by connecting your phone to larger speakers and taking turns with friends.

Search for a karaoke application from the iPhone store. Two free apps are “Karaoke Now!” and “KaraokeAnywhere.” Download the app to your phone.

Buy songs to sing to directly through the application by clicking on the application's built-in store. Applications usually offer a preview feature that allow you to click on a song and hear if it's the one you want. Note that different apps have different prices and deals. For example, the “Karaoke Now!” app has both a 2-song deal and 50-song deal.

3

Import songs into the karaoke app by clicking on the “Import” tab. Depending on the app, this button should give you a URL to type into your computer's browser.

4

Search and upload music from your computer into the phone through the browser. If your app doesn't operate as described in Step 3, follow the on-screen instructions or consult the “Help” portion of the app.

5

Choose a song you've downloaded or imported and follow along with the words on your screen. Plug some external speakers into your iPhone for better sound quality.
